Pilgrimage to The Holy Land

DAY 1: Departure from USA

Our pilgrimage begins today as we depart on our flight to Tel Aviv.

DAY 2: Tel Aviv - Caesarea – Megiddo

On Arrival at Tel Aviv airport, after immigration and customs clearance meet our Tour Guide and driver is waiting for us. Our pilgrim journey starts along the Coastal Plain to Caesarea (Acts 9.30 Acts 10 24-48), capital of Judea under the Romans. Visit the excavations of this ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo (1 Kings 4.28, 9,15, 2 Kings 23,29 & Revel. 16.16), identified as the site of Armageddon. Visit the archaeological excavations at Megiddo, including the well-preserved water supply system. Lunch at Local Restaurant. Check-in at the Hotel and Relax at Netanya. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel

DAY 3: Haifa- Acre - Mount Tabor

Morning buffet breakfast, Drive to the Haifa for Visiting St Peter’s Church and then beautiful port city of Haifa, facing to the Mediterranean Sea, for a panoramic view of the Bahai Gardens and Haifa Bay. From Haifa continue to Acre (Micah 1.10), capital of the Crusaders for more than a century. Ascend Mt. Carmel, Our Lady of Mount Carmel – cave of Prophet Elijah and also the Lady Mary was brought to the Cave of Elijah by her parents, Anne and Joachim, when she was a girl. The Lord Jesus also took refuge in the Cave of Elijah with Mary and Joseph when they were returning to Nazareth after their flight into Egypt. Visiting Muhraka - Prophet Elijah killed the false Baal prophet and viewing Jezreel valley and harbor before continuing eastwards across the plains of the Galilee Lake.
After Lunch, drive to Mount Tabor, take an excursion to visit the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus.

DAY 4: Mount of Beatitudes- Tabgha- Mensa Christi- Capernaum

Morning a short tour of the Kibbutz, then for a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum (Matt. 4.13 13.54, 17.24, Luke 7, Mark 1.2, John 4.46-54). Visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Mensa –Christi was calling Peter’s Primacy. Tabgha (Matt. 13, Mark .33-45, & John 21), the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes, and visit the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Lunch at David Harp Restaurant, enjoy the St. Peter’s Fish. Continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes (Matt. 5,6,7,8), where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Banias Spring and Waterfall (Matt. 16.13 and Mark 8.27), where Jesus was recognized as The Messiah by His Disciples. Tour the Golan Heights, with its valleys. Shopping at Dead Sea Factory outlet, Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay at Tiberius

DAY 5: Cana- Nazareth - Yardenit – Beit Shean

Cana of Galilee (John 2.1-11) -where our Lord Jesus performed the first miracle and then drive to Nazareth Mary’s Well – where the angel first appeared for mother Mary.
Nazareth (Luke 1.26, 4.16-29, Matthew 2.23). In Nazareth, we will visit the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop and Lunch at Nazareth. Next on our program is the Jordan River and the real Baptismal site. Continue to Beit Shean, one of the ancient. Decapolis cities (Mark 5.20, 7.31), and visit the Roman theatre. This is the city where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to the walls (1st Samuel 31.10). Judges 1.27 also mentions Beit Shean. Continue south along the River of Jordan. We proceed to the Golden City of Jerusalem. Check-in at Hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Jerusalem.

DAY 6:Mount of Olives – Mount Zion – Bethany

Today morning, visiting the Old City of Jerusalem. Drive to the top of the Mt. of Olives for a spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem, overlooking the walls of the Old City and the ancient Jewish cemetery. Visit the Ascension Mosque, Church of Pater Noster, then walk the "Palm Sunday Road" to Dominus Flevit, where Our Lord wept over Jerusalem. Proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations., Visit the Church of All Nations. Lunch and Proceed to Mount Zion to see the tomb of King David, Room of the Last Supper (Mark 14.13, Luke 22. 10-38, Matt 26 17-29, Acts 1.13 and Acts 2 the Pentecost).and Dormition Abbey and St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Jesus three times. Enter the Old City to begin exploring the wonders of Jerusalem. Walk through the Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago. View the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, Judaism’s most important site. Visit the Jerusalem Temple area and view the Gold & silver domed Mosques. We drive to Bethany to visit the House of Mary, Martha & Lazarus and the tomb of Lazarus. Dinner at Hotel, Overnight stay at Jerusalem

DAY 7: Jerusalem – Ein Karem

Morning walk along the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus carried His Cross. Visit the Church of St. Anne, the Pool of Bethesda and the Chapel of Flagellation. We will then carry a wooden cross along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to visit Golgotha and the Tomb of Our Lord. Continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matt. 27. 33-57, 28.10). Visiting Adam chapel and the Chapel of Saint Helena. No visit to Jerusalem is complete without a walk through the colorful Arab bazaar. Afternoon Lunch at Restaurant and proceed the program is dedicated to the new city of Jerusalem. Visit the model of ancient Jerusalem. Continue to YadVashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Enter the site by walking along the Street of the Righteous Gentiles, dedicated to the non-Jews that risked their lives in order to save their Jewish neighbors. Continue to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptists (Luke 1.39-80). Visitation Church and Mary’s well is where Mother Mary met her cousin Elizabeth. Dinner and Overnight stay at Jerusalem

DAY 8: Masada- Ein Gedi – Dead Sea Scrolls

Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity- Jesus birth place, Milk Grotto and followed by visiting Beit Sahour – Shepherd’s Church. Afternoon Lunch at Restaurant. Visiting Masada, with a cable car ride to the mountain top fortress of Masada. Here our guide will treat us to the history of the famous zealot stand. Afterwards we proceed to Ein Gedi, "Spring of the Goat," an oasis on the western shore of the Dead Sea. Because of its warm climate and abundant supply of water, the site developed a reputation for its fragrant plants and date palm groves. This is where King David hid from Saul, and where God defeated the enemies of the Israelites by praise and worship led by King Jehoshaphat. Next, we visit Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Overnight stay at Jerusalem

DAY 9: Emmaus - Jericho - Dead Sea.

Morning check-out the Hotel and drive to Emmaus where Jesus first appeared after the resurrection (Luke 24,13-35) Drive to Southern part of Israel through the Jordan River valley to the ancient city of Jericho. Jericho is below the Sea level; the vegetables and fruits are very tasty. The Mount of Temptation is said to be the hill in the Judaean desert where Jesus was tempted by the evil. From the top of the ancient “Tel”, seeing the excellent view of Ellsha’s Fountain, the Qarantal Monastery where Jesus had 40 days fasting before our Lord Ministry formation- Jericho cable car ride and the Mount of Temptation. After Lunch Swimming at the dead sea – you will be given time to experience floating in the medicinal waters of Dead Sea. Visiting the Sycamore tree, Zacchaeus climbed on that tree, to see the Jesus, from the crowd. <br. Check-in at the Hotel at TEL AVIV

DAY 10: Flying back to St. Louis

After breakfast, Transfer at Tel AVIV airport for our return Flight.
