A PILGRIMAGE TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE & MEXICO

Day 01: Sept 01, 2024

Orlando Mexico City

Assemble at Orlando Airport at 10.30am, our flight Aero Mexico Airlines AM 441 departure is 1.40 PM arrives at Mexico airport at 3.35 PM One of the world's largest metropolises, Mexico City is also the oldest urban Centre in the Western Hemisphere.
On arrival at Mexico airport, after Visa stamping, you will collect your luggage in the baggage claim area and continue to the Arrival's Hall where you will be greeted by a tour guide. Transfer to the Shrine of Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. You will stop by Shrine for a quick visit before you transfer to Hotel Barcelo Mexico Reforma 5" for
check-in. Dinner at Restaurant and overnight in Mexico City

Day 02: Sept 02, 2024

Basilica de Guadalupe & Mexico City

After breakfast, depart for the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Patroness of the Americas), by way of the Plaza of the Three Cultures. You will first visit the Church of Santiago Tlatelolco where St. Juan Diego was baptized. This plaza is important as it symbolizes the unique blend of the pre-Hispanic, and Hispanic cultures that make up Mexico. Continue to the Shrine of Guadalupe, built in response to Our Lady's request to the visionary, St. Juan Diego Cuauhtiatoatzin. Upon arrival at the Shrine, you will celebrate Mass as you marvel at the brilliantly colored Basilica. Following Mass, join the other pilgrims as you kneel in front of the "Tilma", where Our Lady's image was miraculously imprinted. You will view the tomb of Fr. Miguel Agustin Pro, the Jesuit martyr. In a time of great religious persecutions, Fr. Pro was exiled from Mexico during the Mexican Revolution. He was eventually discovered, arrested and killed by authorities. While at the Holy Family Church, you may pray to this great martyr who remained filled with the joy of serving Our Lord even in the midst of very difficult times. After that visit, you will tour the oldest and largest Cathedral in all of Latin America, the Metropolitan Cathedral. Continue the day with a visit to the Plaza of Santo Domingo, the first Church built by the Dominicans in 1576 and; the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, the first Rosary Shrine in Mexico. Additionally, you will visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Covadonga, the headquarters of the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary. This Shrine is dedicated to the Patron Saint of Asturias (Spain). Day 03: Sept 03, 2024

Teotihuacan & Church of Tulpetiac

Morning after breakfast, visiting San Juan Teotihuacan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to mythology, this site. was chosen to be the center of the universe, and from then on, it became a prominent political and religious center from the second century until the ninth century. View the pyramids of the Sun and Moon and learn how the Aztecs used to work the obsidian stone and the multiple uses of the Maguey Plant. You will enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant named Gran Teocalli, followed by the Church of Tulpetlac, the Church of the 5th Apparition, where the Blessed Virgin Maria de Guadalupe appeared to Juan Bernardino, Juan Diego's uncle. Here you can find a well of healing water which locals drink from.

Day 04: Sept 04, 2024

Cholula, Tonantzintla, San Miguel de Los Milagros & Puebla City

After breakfast we will depart to Cholula, is best known for its Great Pyramid, with Our Lady of Remedies Church on top. Followed by stop in Tonantzintla, where we will visit its exuberant church, its dome is a great example of indigenous artisanship applied to Christian themes. Mexico's national dish, the 'mole poblano', originated here.
Lunch at Casa Real Poblano. We will have short visit to Puebla's Cathedral St. Dominic's Church, and its Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, having Holy mass at Rosary Chapel, along with the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, where you will view the incorrupt body of St. Sebastian of Aparicido and time for collecting healing water from the well.
Dinner at CASAREYNA Restaurant, Puebla and overnight stay in Mexico City.

Day 05: Sept 05, 2024

Return to Orlando

Morning after breakfast, check-out the Hotel. This morning, guided city Tour of Mexico City- Discover the Historic Center of Mexico City with a local historian or architect Statues on Mexico City. Transfer to the airport for your return flight(s) home.
Your Flight no. AM436 departs at 1.40 PM (noon) and arrives at Orlando airport at 7.07 PM. You will say farewell to friends and a pilgrimage that will last in your memory for years to come.
