Our group assembles at JFK airport at 6.30 PM. Our flight Delta Airlines DL003 departs at 10.05 PM. Your meals will be served on board.
Upon arrival in London, Heathrow Airport at 10.15 AM, collect your luggage and pass through customs to meet your guide or driver in the Arrival's Hall. You will then be escorted to the hotel where you will check in to your rooms. It's possible that you will have to wait until after 2 PM to check in. On the way to hotel, you have Lunch at Local Restaurant. Visiting London Museum orientation tour for 2.5 hours. You will have time to relax and get settled and you have leisure. Then we will have dinner and spend our first overnight stay in London.
Morning Visiting Parliament Square and Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, St James's Park, Buckingham Palace Change of Guard Visit and London Dungeon. After Lunch Visit Church of Etheldreda's Church. Evening river Thames boat ride (1 hour) starts from Tower of London to Westminster Abbey. Dinner and Overnight stay at London.
Morning at 07:30 AM, starts our journey to Stratford, beautifully situated on the River Avon. Visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare, full of interesting memorabilia and artifacts relating to his life. Continue on to York where you walk within the old city walls to the crooked houses of the Shambles and see York Minster, England's largest medieval cathedral. Dinner and Overnight stay at York.
Stop in Durham to see the castle and Romanesque cathedral. Then view part of Hadrian's Wall, Britain's most impressive Roman monument, once spanning 80 miles from coast-to-coast, marking the northern frontier of the mighty Roman Empire. Cross the Scottish border to reach the elegant Scottish capital, Edinburgh.
Journey down the Royal Mile to see the Palace of Holyroodhouse - official Scottish residence of His Majesty the King - before crossing over to New Town. Next, walk with your Local Expert inside Edinburgh Castle for spectacular views of the town and to see Scotland's Crown Jewels, the Stone of Destiny and Mons Meg. The afternoonwe'll drive out of Edinburgh to the tiny village of Rosslyn, where we'll hear the inside story of the famous Rosslyn Chapel from a Local Specialist. One of Scotland's most unusual 15th-century buildings, Rosslyn is famed for its associations with the Knights Templar, the Masonic movement, and now 'The Da Vinci Code'. And also, free to shop on Princes Street. In the evening, select departures will enjoy the spectacle of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo- a colorful mixture of historic battles and military maneuvers with pipes and drums.
This morning we be will flying from Edinburgh to Dublin, On Arrival at Dublin Airport transfer to Knock hotel will 3 hrs. drive. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Knock, commonly referred to as Knock Shrine, is a Roman Catholic Pilgrimage site in the village of Knock, where locals claimed to have seen an apparition in 1879 of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Saint John the Evangelist, angels, and Jesus Christ (the Lamb of God).
This morning, we will be visiting one of the world's leading Marian shrines, situated in the plains of East Mayo. On August 21, 1879 fifteen men, women and
children witnessed an apparition of Mary. The silent apparition lasted two hours, including more than only Our Lady of Knock. The vision was of a lamb and a cross above an altar, with St. John the Apostle, Mary, and Joseph to the left. The apparition is rich in symbolism and is venerated internationally. The original parish church on the site still stands, but we will celebrate Mass in the bigger church that was built to house the shrine's many pilgrims. This church was named a basilica by Saint John Paul II when he visited in 1979. Following Mass, you will have time for private meditation on the mystery of the apparition's message. Next you will have free time for lunch and shopping on your own. We will then depart for the hotel in Knock for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today as we leave Knock, we will enjoy plenty of breathtaking scenery while traveling to Dublin. We will arrive in Dublin to visit the National Museum, situated in the heart of the city. Its collection of golden prehistoric jewellery is without a doubt the most stunning in Europe. You will be particularly interested in the Celtic finery, as well as numerous early Christian artifacts and incredible relics. There will be some free time for lunch and relaxation later in the day. overnight stay in Dublin.
After breakfast, take a full day city tour of Dublin including visits to Trinity College to see the famous Book of Kells, St. Patrick's Cathedral, St. Mary's Pro Cathedral, Our Lady of Lourdes Church where we will see the Shrine of Matt Talbot, the Carmelite Church on Whitefriar Street where we will see the Shrine of St. Valentine, the St. Teresa's Church on Clarendon Street, O'Connell Street, the Old Town, and the Guinness Factory where we will enjoy a pint of Ireland's favorite beer!
Today we will take an excursion to Glendalough. Tucked away in the Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough was established by St. Kevin in the 6th century. This most romantic of monastic sites was one of Ireland's greatest pilgrimage centers up to the middle of the 19th century. Return to Dublin with the remainder of the afternoon free for personal activities. This evening enjoys a farewell dinner at a local pub with traditional Irish music.
Today early morning, we will transfer to the airport to catch our return flight home. Report to airport at 7.00 AM DL 045 departs at 10.00 AM arrives JFK Airport at 12.40 PM.
